The Cote d’Azur tour runs from Monaco down to St. Clair with plenty of things to see and dozens of different places that are well worth seeing. In fact, if you actually stop at all of the top sightseeing spots then it would take you weeks to finish the tour.
Monaco is a sight itself due to the town being solely based around the port and the million pound yachts that sit out on the water. The ‘Stars n Bars’ is a great place to get a bite to eat and to watch the celebrity world. There is a great guided tour tram that departs from the palace of Prince Albert from a hill over top of the port.
The rest of the tour is up to you as you travel down the coast. The only thing you really want to make sure you do is keep the Mediterranean Sea to the left of you while you travel. A great first stop is the Cap d’Ail at it is a great place to stop for a few hours and enjoy a swim followed by a sun bed.
U2 fans will likely want to make sure to stop by Eze given the fact that Bono has a home that is situated right on the beach. Any local would be able to point you in the right direction if you just want to see it. The area is also famous for its wide array of restaurants.
Up next on the coastal road is the St. Jean-Cap Ferrat which is a favourite to the famous and rich and also happens to house a great zoo. Those travelling with children should make this a definite stop because the animals are fantastic and there is no better climate to tour a zoo in.
