New trips for foodies to the French Alps in 2014

If you are a food connoisseur, then you do not want to miss the gourmet week hosted by renowned chef Richard Phillips in the French Alps in March 2014.

You will discover there is a lot more than just skiing to be enjoyed here. There is also the delicious dishes which Richard Phillips will produce every night, accompanied by the glorious wines hand picked by sommelier Ronan Sayburn.

There are wine tasting sessions, the chance to sample local produce, and a few surprises in store as well.

The co-owner of the Michelin-starred restaurant Thackeray’s in Tunbridge Wells and a regular on daytime TV shows including Ready Steady Cook, Too Many Cooks and ITV’s Daily Cooks Challenge, Phillips started his career with Albert and Michel Roux as a young commis chef at Le Gavroche in London.

He then went on to work at Le Soufflé restaurant at London’s Intercontinental Hotel and then for Marco Pierre White, overseeing the kitchens of The Oak Room and The Mirabelle in central London. Phillips has also worked with the Schrager hotel group in London, putting together teams in both the Sanderson hotel and St Martin’s Lane hotel, the first hotels opened by this group outside the US.
