Eurostar managed to increase both the value of its ticket sales and passenger volumes in 2009 despite the severe disruption experiences during December owing to the wintry weather. 2009 ticket sales for 2009 totalled a record £675.5 million, up 1.7% on 2008.  Passenger numbers were up 1.2% at 9.2 million.
